About Us

Micah Livesay

Micah is a Boston-based playwright, actor, and director, and the co-founder of Red Line Repertory. She holds a BA in Theatre Performance from Appalachian State University, with a minor in American Sign Language. Theatre has been a constant presence in her life, inspired in large part by her mother, a theatre professional whose work shaped Micah’s early connection to the art form. Micah has worked professionally as an actor in Boston and her artistic practice spans playwriting, performance, and directing. Her work is grounded in collaboration, accessibility, and character-driven storytelling, with an emphasis on ensemble-based work and creating space for voices that are often excluded from traditional theatre pathways. After working in academic and community-based theatre environments, Micah co-founded Red Line Repertory with Mia in response to the barriers she observed within Boston’s theatre scene. She remains actively engaged in developing new work and contributing to the local theatre community.

Mia Kelly

Mia is a Boston-based writer, performer, choreographer, and creative director, and she is the co-founder of Red Line Repertory. She is a playwright the midst of pursuing her MFA in creative writing at the University of Denver with the goal of creating new and innovative works that celebrate the art form that she loves so dearly. Theatre means everything to Mia! She has experienced first-hand how difficult it can be for aspiring performers to break into the Boston theatre scene, especially without a BFA. She has worked with some amazing theatre groups and companies, all of which are outside of the greater-Boston area. In the past few years, Mia has met a large collective of talented and passionate artists and she cannot wait to establish an encouraging and welcoming space for their skills to flourish. After working with Micah, Mia realized the importance of accessible theatre and is committed to bringing the concept to life in her home city, Boston!
